Annual Awards – Nominations
The Martinez Chamber’s Annual Awards is a special event that recognizes people or organizations for their outstanding volunteerism and commitment to the community.
To nominate an individual or organization for an award, please fill out the appropriate form below OR write a letter stating why you believe the person or organization deserves the award. The more information that you provide gives your nominee a better chance of being an awardee! Your contact information and nominees’ contact information including address and telephone number on the letter is required for the nomination to be accepted. Please see the award categories and guidelines below.

Citizen of the Year Awards
Lifetime Achievement Award
The recipient of this award will be judged upon the quality and quantity of volunteer service and work provided throughout their lifetime.
The recipient of this award will be judged as a “well rounded” individual, as well as, a significant contributing member of our community, (i.e. business, religious, educational, etc.)
Woman & Man of the Year
The recipient of this award will be judged upon the quality and quantity of volunteer service and work provided to our community during the past year.
The recipient of this award will be judged as a “well rounded” individual, as well as, a significant contributing member of our community, (i.e. business, religious, educational, etc.)
Young Woman & Young Man of the Year
Service Without Borders
The recipient of this award will be judged upon the quality and quantity of volunteer service and work provided throughout their lifetime.
Educator/Teacher of the Year
Business of the Year Award
Guidelines
- Nominee must be an active business located or operating in the Martinez area.
- Nominee must be a member in good standing with the Martinez Chamber of Commerce.
- Nominee must have been in business for at least 3 years.
- Nominee must have demonstrated two or more of the following characteristics:
- Exceptional growth through additional creation of jobs
- Revenue growth
- Innovative products or services
- Involved in workforce development and supports education
- Provides exemplary customer service
- Volunteers in the Martinez Community
- Demonstrates economic support of the Martinez area business community
